We ask all oxygen, enteral and ventilator patients to notify Absolute Respiratory Care of travel plans 4 to 6 weeks prior to their trip. This allows us sufficient time to arrange for the necessary equipment during travel. We recommend patients contact all agencies involved in your travel plans such as airlines, bus, train, and cruise lines to ensure they can accommodate your medical travel needs and to verify their policies for traveling with such equipment. It is important to understand airline and other industry regulations before travel. Being a local company Absolute Respiratory Care may need to work with another home respiratory company at your destination to supply you with the necessary equipment. There may be additional fees associated with traveling. You may be responsible for such fees, because most insurance companies do not cover the expense of travel.
